This letter is provided for TeamThink Principal, Sandor Kiss regarding his work with Navigo Dogs.
I hired Sandor in October 2010 to conduct consumer market research for my company. We are currently developing an innovative invisible pet fencing system (IPFS) product. My start up company began development of a prototype based on shortcomings of existing IPFS's and we developed a business plan was based on our experience with past products and assumptions we felt were valid.
Sandor proposed a survey program with unique customer segmentation methodology to help us validate our product features and the viability of our business.
The market research he conducted validated dog owners are likely to buy our product; and helped us understand key drivers for a purchase decision for our product, price points to consider and perceptions of the product we're creating.
This information has had a direct impact on how we will position the product. We discovered a larger market than we had anticipated that has a demand for different features than we had previously thought to emphasize. Our product development roadmap has been adjusted to make room for new products in our company's future. The data also gave us a clearer idea of how to place our price point.
Sandor is a great member of our team. He has been able to successfully assist us with his contacts and guide us to into grants that were not obvious to us. With his consulting we have been able to have our marketing direction mature quickly and confidently. As well, we now feel a lot more prepared when approaching fresh outside investors.
